SUMMARY:CANCELED! The effects of coke quenching methods on coke quality parameters and blast furnace production process
DESCRIPTION:The main task of coke factories in Iskenderun Iron and Steel Co. (ISDEMIR) is to produce metallurgical coke needed by blast furnaces. The final stage of coke production is completed with the quenching processes. In ISDEMIR, it is used two types of methods which are dry and wet quenching in the coke plant.  In this research, it is shown how the same coke battery oven, same blend and the same conditions effects the coke quality parameters, such as moisture, coke reactivity index, coke strength after reaction and blast furnace production process by wet and dry quenching methods.
