SUMMARY:Selection of steels for high pressure hydrogen environments
DESCRIPTION:The number of steel grades used for high pressure componentsis in a hydrogen environment is very limited. The effect on Hydrogen on the mechanical properties of steels are shown. 

An overview of the RRA values  (relative reduction of area) of stainless and engineering steel grades will be presented and recomandation for grades regading cost and mechanical properties are given.
